Our Story

North Church Elkmont began as a vision in a staff meeting at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church as Dusty McLemore, then Senior Pastor of Lindsay Lane, wrote the word ELKMONT on a white board and announced his intentions of planting a new, winning kingdom work in the small community in northern Limestone County.  And the rest, as they say, is history.

North Church Elkmont, first known as Lindsay Lane North Church, began as a fully-mobile campus of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church on August 18, 2019 in the Elkmont Elementary School gym, where worship services were held, and childcare spaces were created in adjoining classrooms.  From its inception, North was planted with a 3-part vision:  1) To become a brick-and-mortar presence in the community, 2) To become self-sustaining financially, and 3) To become an autonomous church. Providentially, though COVID prevented services from continuing at the school in March 2020, by the time in-person services resumed in May, renovations were completed in the building the church still meets in today.  Within two years, by God’s grace, North reached the 2nd milestone of self-sufficiency.  In January 2024, a brand new 4,800 square foot building addition was added to the property to accommodate the church’s continued growth.  By January 2025, shortly after celebrating its 5th year anniversary, North became autonomous from Lindsay Lane Baptist Church and with it changed its name to North Church Elkmont.

Now, thankful for all that God has done in the life of this young church, North Church Elkmont continues with its mission to be “in the community…for the community,” and still exists to see all people ENCOUNTER Christ, ENGAGE in His Community, and Enlist in His Commission. To God be the glory!
